Motorola admits: Nexus 6 was too large

Google wanted it so … Motorola admits: Nexus 6 was too large

When the Nexus 6 was launched end of 2014 there were many different opinions on this stock-Android device. Motorola now admits that this smartphone was on the large side.

Nexus 6 – too big

Motorola does in an interview that the Nexus 6 was too big. Motorola made the phone with Google and that was the party that has pushed there by the screen size. It had to be a true phablet with high-end specs and that was the case. With a 5.97-inch screen, the Nexus 6 was really big. If it had been at Motorola they opted for the same screen size as the Moto X 4.7 inches.

Adrienne Hayes, Chief Marketing Officer at Motorola have announced that there was a big learning curve after the introduction of the Nexus 6. The expectation then was that the screen sizes in the future could be larger, but the tide has turned somewhat. The current flags vessels are between 5 and 5.5 inches. A 6-inch smartphone we return regularly, but Motorola is in hindsight not quite see satisfied with the Nexus 6.

The new line of Nexus smartphones therefore have smaller screens. As the Nexus 6P has a 5.7 inch screen and is the Nexus 5X chosen a 5.2 inch screen.
